Time and again, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has come forward in support of promoting sports and young sports person in the country. And recently, the actor has come in full support of Khelo India, the national programme for development of sports.
In a recent video shared by the actor, he can be seen playing badminton at the ongoing Khelo India. He captioned the video, “Dropped by to cheer the players of @kheloindia today, a great initiative for development of sports and couldn’t resist a quick badminton match.” And in the video too, Akshay Kumar manages to impress his fans with his perfect shots. Akshay Kumar is trained in martial arts and a black belt in Taekwondo.

Sports minister Rajyavardhan Rathore praised Akshay for lending his support to the initiative and wrote, “Well done @akshaykumar, that’s true sportsman spirit.” The programme’s aim is to promote different sports and young sporting talents of the country. To which, Askhay replied, “It’s you who are the true sportsman sir for starting something as wonderful as @kheloindia, an initiative to encourage sports at grassroot level.”
Akshay will also be seen in a sports-drama, Gold, this year, where he can be seen playing, the character of the star hockey player. Based on a real story, the movie is based on India winning the Olympic medal in hockey as a free nation in 1948. Gold is releasing on August 15.
