Olympic silver medallist PV Sindhu is hoping to regain full fitness ahead of her event in the Commonwealth Games 2018 and also vowed that India will bring plenty of medals in Badminton. Sindhi is at the moment coping up with the ankle sprain, which she suffered during a training session.
However, the good news was that – scans and reports showed that there was no injury to the bone or ligament.
“Preparation-wise everything has been going on well for me. Of course, unfortunately, I sprained my ankle a bit but I think I should be fine by the time the Games starts, I hope I will be completely fit by then,” the 22-year-old said.
In 2014 CWG, Sindhu lost the semi-final game and had to settle for Bronze. However, since then Sindhu’s form and game has improved a lot and she is the favourite for the Gold medal this time around.
Meanwhile, Saina Nehwal also has no doubt they would do well in the upcoming games.
“Certainly we will be winners in most of the events, looking at our strength in all disciplines of team events as well as individual events in badminton,” she said.
