One of the most-awaited movie of the year is none other than Shah Rukh Khan starrer, Zero, which is based on the life of a dwarf. Directed by Anand L.Rai, the movie has King Khan playing the role of a dwarf, which has risen the anticipation levels several notches higher.
The teaser of the film was released a few weeks ago and received a phenomenal response. Expressing their thoughts on the movie, two para-badminton players Mark Dharmai and Disha Pandya said that they hope the film changes the perception about those who face this medical condition.
Mark and Disha appeared on a Star Plus game show, “Sabse Smart Kaun?” to convey that being a dwarf has not stopped the two from achieving their dreams.
Mark holds the No. 3 position in world para-badminton doubles and Disha is a national level badminton player along with being the creative head at an FMCG company.
“We did not come (to the show) with a motive to win money but to win hearts and I hope we did that. People have a certain perception about us and we want to change it. Shah Rukh Khan and Aanand L. Rai are coming up with their movie Zero and it is based on people like us (dwarfs). We really hope with a personality like SRK, people see us differently,” said Mark.
Along with Shah Rukh Khan, the film also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. On Wednesday, Anand L Rai took to the social media to share a caricature of Shah Rukh’s character from his upcoming film Zero.
