Sports personalities, actors and other celebrities get to travel the world for their events but always miss out on the beautiful views around them. They are in a country or city only for professional purposes and do not generally get a chance to soak in the local surroundings.
Call it luck but things seemed to have kind of worked out for these Indian badminton players. After gruelling it on the badminton court at a stretch, it’s time for some sight-seeing for Saina, Parupalli and Sai Praneeth. The New Zealand Open has not been kind to India’s three badminton stars, Saina Nehwal, Parupalli Kashyap, and Sai Praneeth. Saina and Parupalli made their exits after the first rounds in their respective games.
Saina Nehwal suffered a serious shock on Wednesday when she lost to China’s Wang Zhiyi, 16-21, 23-21, 4-21. Parupalli could not beat Australia’s Peter Yan in the second qualifying round and had to bow out. Meanwhile, Sai Praneeth did not make it past the pre-quarterfinal round against China’s Lin Dan.
But the three decided to look at the positive side of things and hopped on a boat for a fun dolphin and whale safari while still in Auckland! Each of them took to their Instagram pages to post pictures and videos of the clear skies, blue seas and the sea animals making an appearance every few seconds.
Parupalli and Saina are married to each other. They tied the knot on 14 December 2018 in a private ceremony in Hyderabad.
