Boxer Deontay Wilder is a menacing beast in the ring and enjoys intimidating his opponents with over-the-top outfits. On 18 May 2019, Deontay decided to take it up a notch and wore, what is perhaps his most extravagant outfit.
This time, Deontay’s over-the-top and dramatic look included a diamond-encrusted face mask and crown (probably signifying his rule over the boxing ring). The item was probably made with 100s (if not 1000s) of tiny diamonds. Every time a cameraman caught sight of Deontay Wilder, they were met with the shine of sparkling diamonds. This particular choice of attire kind of reminds you of the bronze face mask he chose to wear for his match against Tyson Fury last December.

The match did not even last for five minutes. It took Deontay barely any time to defend his titles and knock out Dominic Breazeale in the first round. The ‘Bronze Bomber’ has a near perfect score of knocking out his opponents in the first round.
Wilder said: “[The mask] has an energy about it that I feed off. Putting the mask on is like a blocker, I zone in. Most definitely it’s a strange feeling. The mask is everything for me. When my mind transforms it is a scary feeling. It is a source of power that takes over and allows me to feel like I know I can.”
Deontay came up with the nickname ‘The Bronze Bomber’ for himself after winning a bronze medal as an amateur in the 2008 Olympics.
