Tyson Fury has had a comeback for the ages when he gave world champion Deontay Wilder a run for his money in a high-stakes fight in Los Angeles. Though the match ended in a draw, many people believed that Fury should have been declared the winners as he outboxed Wilder for large durations of the contest.
To get to this stage, Fury has had to fight a lot of personal demons. He has openly admitted to struggling with depression and other mental issues, which led to him abusing alcohol and drugs in order to find some peace in his life.
Thankfully, he had the support of his wife Paris, who he has known since he was 18 and his four kids who got him through some tough times.
While Fury struggle with some personal issues, his wife Paris, too, had to face the heartbreak of a miscarriage back in June. What is even more saddening is that she found out that she had lost the baby the day his husband was set to face off in his comeback match against Sefer Seferi. Paris decided to hide the news from her husband so that he could concentrate on the fight.
In an interview with Mirror, she said, revealing the tragedy, “I was about eight weeks pregnant. Then on the day of the fight I knew I’d lost our baby. I didn’t mention it to Tyson before he went in the ring. Then straight after it I told him and the next day we went to the hospital and it was confirmed.”
But there was a ray of hope for the pair at the end of the tunnel as Paris became pregnant with a baby again five weeks later. “Five weeks later we fell pregnant again – and now our new baby, a boy, is due in March. We were still heartbroken over our loss, but overjoyed at the same time,’ she added.
With Tyson back in the reckoning as one of the best boxers in the world and Paris expecting another child, things are looking bright for the pair in the near future.
