While his fans anxiously wait for his next fight, Anthony Joshua decided to make the most of the free time to get into the festival mode. The British boxer, who is currently a unified world heavyweight champion holding three of the major four titles – the IBF, the WBA and the WBO, took an adventurous break with a few friends.
Due to the recent controversial draw between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder, the picture of Joshua’s opponent for the Wembley fight on April 13 is yet unclear. While Bronze Bomber (Wilder) blasted Joshua for fighting ‘second-rate’ opponents after negotiations for a fight between the two didn’t materialise, the accusation having been seconded by many fight fans too.
The knockout artist, however, chose to turn a deaf ear and rather enjoy the snow-covered slopes of Portland Oregon in the USA. As he posted a picture of he and his friends in skiing gear walking up the slope, he even called out famous survival instructor, adventurer and TV presenter, Bear Grylls. ‘Bear Grylls it’s winter season, where you at?’, Joshua wrote. Grylls replied: Epic AJ! Looks fun. You have been well trained!!

The 29-year-old, who was also seen showing off his athleticism during a break in Jamaica in November by leaping off the roof of his holiday villa and into the pool, made the most of the incredible weather.

Looking all relaxed in the pictures and videos that he posted, the group started off with some practice moves after getting fitted with the gear at a camp. After enjoying the day at the slopes, Joshua relaxed in a cosy chalet with his pals. The wooden dinner table and benches in a rustic setting, with a log fire at the head, seemed to completely take his mind off the work.
While there are many speculations on whom he will fight next, Wilder cheekily favoured a ‘trilogy’ with Fury over a fight with Joshua. Joshua, meanwhile, didn’t ditch his routine training even during the holiday as he hit the gym and looked all business in his workout video that he shared with millions of his followers, scores of them egging him on to fight Wilder and Fury than ‘running off to the hills’.
