IPL franchisee news anchor Mayanti Langer needs no introduction to a cricket fan. In addition to hosting the pre- and post-match interactions, Mayanti also amps up the sartorial atmosphere at IPL. She attempts to be formally dressed, and most often in shades of black, working with a team of stylists. But yet, at times, the results are shocking.
For the IPL 2019 auction that took place on Tuesday at Jaipur, Mayanti was back on our screens, this time in a fitting shimmery bronze dress with red-hot platform peep-toes. First off, we love the shoes. But the dress seemed a couple of sizes too tight, making her arms look awkward.
However, in the last season of IPL, we saw Mayanti rock some bright colours with well put-together outfits. She was styled by Shayal S, and wore some beautiful pieces of jewellery. Here’s a throwback at her fashion choices for IPL 2018.
Here she wears a short off-shoulder flowery red dress with a trio of studded rings that go between her fingers instead of on them.
A pin-striped blazer in the classic combination of black, white and red is teamed with a less-formal black skirt. She gave a touch of glamour to the outfit with metallic silver slingbacks.
With this look, Mayanti keeps it casual. A black top with ruffled neck goes with a breezy pair of olive cotton pants.
A formal black number from H&M with a touch of feminine, thanks to the print of flowers on it. Anyone else reminded of a fancy nightdress?
Mayanti has shopped from Zara for this look. Taking to the classic pinstripes again, this time in a yellow and blue top, Mayanti pairs it faded blue oversized high-waist pants. Nude peep-toes complete her look.
A bright yellow shirt with puffed sleeves and tight cuffs for this look. Mayanti balances the top with a formal skirt from SewShy Clothing. A pair of clunky earring from Marc Cain and clunky Zara heels are added to the mix.
Here Mayanti takes an LBD and transforms it into a power outfit, as she dons a mustard yellow trench coat on it. She sticks to her philosophy of less is more, teaming it with simple chevron heels from Intoto.
Of the several black outfits Mayanti wore last season, this one is a mid-length dress by Swatee Singh. The slivers on the sleeves make it stand out from simpler black silhouettes. Beige heels and jewellery from Curio Cottage wrap up the look for her.
