MS Dhoni is unarguably one of the greatest cricketers which India has ever produced in the long and storied history of the game in the nation. The records speak for themselves and Dhoni as a wicketkeeper, as a batsman and most importantly as captain has left an undeniable mark on Indian cricket and the game will always be indebted for his contributions.
Dhoni though still has a lot to give to Indian cricket despite nearing the age of 40 now and this is largely down to his impeccable fitness. To maintain his fitness, Dhoni follows a very strict diet plan in order to keep his body in top shape when the matches come rolling around.
Here is the diet schedule which the legendary Indian cricketer follows:
For breakfast, Dhoni eats a bowl of porridge with fresh fruits. He also eats nuts and drinks a glass of fresh milk.
Lunch for Mahi consists of traditional Indian food high on protein and nutritional values. Dhoni eats chapatis and daal along with chicken. He also eats a plate of veg salad. Once upon a time, butter chicken was MS Dhoni’s favorite dish but he has stopped eating the traditional Indian cuisine to maintain his fitness.
For evening snacks, Dhoni’s daily routine includes eating a chicken sandwich along with a bowl of yogurt.
For the final meal of the day, MS Dhoni eats 2-3 chapatis along with chicken. He also eats a bowl of vegetable salad and fresh fruits. Dhoni also avoids drinking any kind of soda or soft drinks.
