Virat Kohli ever since his breakthrough in the Indian cricket team, has had a meteoric rise in the sporting globe. Kohli who was once touted as a talented batsman has now become one of the greatest cricketers which India has ever produced and arguably one of the greatest in the history of the game. What is even more staggering that Kohli right now is only entering his prime as a player and has a good 7-8 years of the game left in him. By the time he is done with the game, he could potentially go on to break each and every batting record in the sport.
But it was not always the case of tremendous highs with Kohli. At the start of his career, he was a chubby lad who did not concentrate much on his fitness and let his talent get him through matches. But after a lean patch, he realized that talent can only get you a fraction of success and what matters most is hard work and determination.
Kohli then decided to completely overhaul his diet and fitness regime and is currently, arguably one of the fittest sportspersons in the globe.
Kohli does not shy away from his past mistakes and is keen for other youngsters to learn a lesson from him. This is perhaps the reason why the skipper got a bit nostalgic on his Twitter account.
He tweeted a photo collage, which showcased his complete transformation. On the top half, was the Virat Kohli in the past and at the bottom was the Virat Kohli in the present.
Along with the photo was a message:
With focus and hard work, anything is possible. Keep working, keep believing. Have a super day everyone.
