The whole world is in awe of Team India skipper Virat Kohli and his chiselled body. He has one of the finest physique in the cricket world. Starting from a kid with chubby cheeks he has now become a worldwide fitness-icon.
In May this year in an interview with Times Of India the dashing right-hander believes a fit lifestyle is a key to a healthy mind, which also makes one feel good about themselves.
“My reason was totally different. It had to do with playing at a certain level in the professional sport. I realized in the process that when I started getting fitter, I started thinking better. I had more confidence, clarity, focus, and determination. And I started feeling that inside me as soon as I changed my physical regime. That’s when I began to think that everybody should be doing this. Getting fitter makes you confident overall. It makes you feel good about yourself. You need to feel good to have good thoughts. And then came about this idea of pushing people towards fitness to make them understand why this is so important,”.
The team India skipper is a fitness freak and has inspired other cricketers in the side to also maintain fitness level while playing for the national side. It takes a lot of effort and hard work to achieve such a lean figure. He has always put fitness on top to achieve best results at the highest level. After leading India to a 3-1 rout of West Indies in the recently-concluded ODI series, Kohli immediately hit the gym and was seen doing his favourite lifts.
In his latest video shared on Instagram, he showed great skills of weight training.
In his post, he wrote Love going back to my favourite lifts. Any opportunity to get stronger and fitter is something I crave for!
In the recently held 5-match ODI series, Virat broke a lot of records. He became the only Indian batsman to score three centuries on the trot. He also completed 10,000 ODI runs becoming the quickest to reach the figure.
