The bond cricket and Bollywood share in India is a bond stronger than most relationships we see today, and you will agree with us on this. While the nation is glued to the screens as IPL reaches the most exciting phase of its course, here’s something that’ll light up your day.
Delhi Capitals star player Shikhar Dhawan is known for his various talents off the field. Whether it is singing, playing a musical instrument or the dance moves he throws every now and then.
The Indian batsman uploaded a couple of videos on his Instagram and showed off his connection with Bollywood. Nicknamed ‘Gabbar’, the player was seen break into dance moves with one of the film industry’s most iconic faces – Ranveer Singh.
In the first video, the two were seen imitate the signature steps from Ranveer’s song Khalibali from the blockbuster film Padmavat. Shikhar mirrored the steps while the dashing actor led the way. Look closely enough and the steps actually suit the player very well.
The following video sees the two swap dance moves. Shikhar now shows Ranveer his iconic Gabbar Singh step that he uses on the field. Being the ever-energetic man he is, Ranveer nailed it in one go and the two sync perfectly in the move.
The two icons of India have surely bonded over some amazing dance.
As we said, the connection between the two worlds is much stronger than most of the relationships we see today.
Shikhar Dhawan’s Delhi Capitals currently stand second on the table, behind mighty Chennai Super Kings. The ‘Dilli blues’ will face in-form Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday on home turf.
