The euphoria around the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup is gaining momentum with every passing day. The latest news that’s out about the grand sporting event is its Opening Party venue and that is the iconic London Mall. The grand event will take place on May 29. The inaugural match of the World Cup will be played between hosts England and South Africa on May 30.
Approximately, 4,000 fans are expected to come to the venue to watch the Opening Party spectacle live, while it will also have a global broadcast. The must-watch event will have some awesome music and dance performances and is expected to be grander like never before.
Talking to insidesports, Steve Elworthy, Managing Director at ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019, said, “The Opening Party will capture the very essence of what makes this tournament so special and will be hugely exciting for the fans that are lucky enough to attend but also across broadcast we will show the world what they have to look forward to over the next 45 days of cricket action.”

Tickets for the event will be allocated through a ballot system for which the applications will be available from April 4 to May 1 on www.cricketworldcup.com/opening-party. The result of the ballot will be declared on May 7.
