In only the second match of the ICC World Cup 2019, we got to see Pakistan’s shortest innings in the World Cup ever. It is pretty sure that this WC is going to be full of surprises. While most of us were certain the PAK v WI match was going to be a high-scoring affair, we were gladly disappointed (at least the Windies fans).
In the World Cup opener for both the teams, Pakistan were bowled out for a mere 105 runs in 21.4 overs. Some fans even had to make their way back from the lines itself. Sad.

West Indies celebrated as Pakistan fell apart! (Photo: India TV)
Pakistan registered their second-lowest total in World Cup history and their shortest innings. The inning was over in 21.4 overs as the Pakistani batsmen fell apart like a pack of cards. On a flat wicket in England, the performance from Pakistan was miserable and plain disappointing.
However, Twitter took complete advantage of this horror show. Here are some of the top trolls and interesting takes on yesterday’s match between Pakistan and West Indies.
First up, let us see the trolls.
At least WI won't score 500 in this game. Win.

I think Imran Khan meant to say '100 runs instead of 100 percent' #WIvPAK #CWC19 https://t.co/RDSQvesbhW

Worth remembering that Pakistan arrived in England 38 days before today's match and not 38 minutes before today's match #CWC19 #PAKvWI

My journey to the ground today – 125 minutes
Pakistan's innings today – 111 minutes#CWC19 #PAKvWI— Saj Sadiq (@Saj_PakPassion) May 31, 2019
The trolls on Twitter were endless. While some compared their journey to the stadium to last longer than the innings, others took a dig at Imran Khan’s motivational message. The Pakistan Prime Minister asked the team to give ‘100 percent’ in their match. Twitter took advantage and said that they probably thought he said a ‘100 runs’ (lack of understanding English ain’t uncommon amongst Pakistan folk)
A few tweets saw a different side to the scenario, check it out.
Pakistan’s two previous lowest scores in World Cup history have been in ‘92 and ‘99. Both times they reached the final. In ‘92 they were champions! Look out! #ICCWC2019 #PAKvWI #CricbuzzLive @gauravkapur @bhogleharsha @ImZaheer

This is typical Pakistan … They will no doubt go on an Win the World Cup … !!!

Sarcasm at its best. Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan and analyst cum host Gautam Bhimani brought their sarcasm skills to the party. Pakistan’s lowest scores have been in tournaments where they reached the finals. Michael and Gautam pointed this out and threw heavy trolls at them. The duo claimed this is Pakistan’s World Cup to win (you actually never know).
The ICC World Cup 2019 is well and truly underway, and so are the trolls!
