The India-Australia series has begun, kicking off in Pune today. The conditions in Maharashtra has been surprisingly humid in the month of February as it generally tends to be on the cooler side during this month. The pitch was always going to play a massive factor in the toss, and luckily for the visitors, Steven Smith won the toss and as expected, chose to bat first.
David Warner and Matt Renshaw continued their opening combination while Usman Khawaja was the unfortunate one to be left out in place of Shaun Marsh. Australia chose to go in with Mitchell Marsh, who hass been in some form. During the 15th over, Jayant Yadav got the better off Warner by bowling him around the leg stump and sent it for a cartwheel. The ball too raced away to the boundary, rubbing salt onto Jayant Yadav’s wounds. But Richard Kettleborough removed his hand out to signal no-ball and that gave David Warner relief. Relive that moment here.
