KL Rahul is in a dream run as he is hitting runs for fun and there is no stopping the batsman at the moment. After a brilliant Indian Premier League (IPL), he has carried his superb form in ongoing India’s tour of England.
India thumped England in the first of the three-match T20I series as he smashed a brilliant century. After a century he celebrated it doing the Dab – which is mostly famous in the football.
After the match – in a fun interview with Dinesh Karthik, he revealed the inspiration behind that kind of a celebration. He also gave key insights into his different styles of celebration.
“By the end of the England series, I want to have a different handshake with all the members in the team right now. I have one with Hardik (Pandya). With Virat you saw it,” he said. However, when Karthik asked if the celebration was taken out of Cristiano Ronaldo, he said, “Yea, sort of. You know Virat’s a huge Ronaldo fan.”

Rahul also opened up about his battle with injuries, saying the last one and half years had been very tough on him.
“This is a very satisfying time for me. I have a few international hundreds but this means the world to me. It is very special to me because the last international ton I got was about two years ago,” said Rahul in the video uploaded by BCCI.tv.
“I have been getting fifties in the IPL and even in the Test matches… have been in an out of the ODI team. It’s been a rough one and half years… with injuries. I haven’t chased anything with so much heart and passion so this means the world to me. I have not been someone who chases numbers but when I was not getting the three-digit mark then I realised how important it is,” he added.
