India lost the 2nd T20I against South Africa by 6 wickets, thanks to blistering knocks by skipper JP Duminy (64 off 40) and wicketkeeper-batsman Heinrich Klaasen (69 off 30). These innings reflected the anger of the South Africans but they were not the only angry men on the ground. There was a certain MS Dhoni, who got pissed off at his non-striker Manish Pandey when India were batting.
It was a moment of learning for Pandey, who lost a focus for a while and got reprimanded by Dhoni.
Here is the video:
Manish Pandey, however, played well for his 48-ball-79 not out that included 6 fours and 3 sixes. He along with Dhoni formed a 98-run partnership to help his side reach the score of 188 runs in 20 overs. It was Dhoni’s day as well, who smashed 17 runs in the last over of the innings to help India’s cause.
However, South Africans were up to the task of winning the 2nd T20I and it reflected in the way Duminy and Klassen batted. South Africa were 38 for 2 and then came the duo and started smashing sixes and fours. India’s star bowler of this tour — Yuzvendra Chahal — went for 64 runs in his quota of 4 overs without a wicket, leaking the maximum runs in a T20I for India. His failure meant India had no other slow bowler to turn apart from Suresh Raina. Klaassen departed but on 69, which was too late by then. Duminy and Farhaan Behardien completed the run chase with 8 balls to spare.
