The Vivo IPL 2019 just does not seem to have a single match without any drama. Amit Mishra’s dismissal for obstructing the field, Keemo Paul’s boundary to the win the match and some spectacular hitting by Rishabh Pant set the game on fire. What’s more, it was the 20th match in this year’s IPL that has gone to a last over finish.
At one point, Delhi Capitals seem to be cruising to victory until the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers decided to change it up a little. It was a great team effort with Rashid Khan, Bhuveneshwar Kumar, and Khaleel Ahmed all chipping in with crucial wickets at the right time.
Khaleel Ahmed had good bowling figures of 2-24, but what caught our eye was the celebration by the young fast bowler. What is he trying to say? Have a look here:
Yeah, that is the celebration we are talking about. The young fast bowler came on to bowl the 11th over and knocked over both Shreyas Iyer and Prithvi Shaw. After both the dismissals, he went on a similar ‘phone-dialling’ celebration. Now, who do you think Khaleel is dialling?
With the ICC World Cup 2019 just around the corner, it might not be wrong to think that Khaleel is actually trying to make a phone call to the selectors. India have already submitted their 15-man squad but there is still scope for the selectors to add new players.
Khaleel Ahmed did not make it to the squad but it was reported that he is still on the waitlist and might travel with the team for assistance to the other pacers. He clearly wants more than just to be on the waitlist and having represented India in the U-19 team, he would love to be a part of the World Cup squad as well.
Now that the management can still make changes to the squad, only time will tell if Khaleel has dialled the right numbers!
