The brand value of Hardik Pandya is taking a hit day after day. First, he along with KL Rahul were suspended by the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) following their controversial remarks during their episode in Koffee with Karan.
The duo was asked for an explanation about their alleged misconduct and indiscipline to the BCCI and has been suspended for an indefinite period for their misogynist comments.
A few days earlier, Pandya was dropped by men’s shaving razor Gillette Mach3 Start as its celebrity ambassador.
“Hardik Pandya’s recent comments do not reflect the values of Gillette. We have suspended our association with Hardik until we decide on further course of action,” a company spokesperson was quoted as saying by The Times of India.
Now Pandya has lost the membership of Mumbai’s Khar Gymkhana following his controversial remarks.
According to joint secretary of Khar Gymkhana Gaurav Kapadia, the decision to revoke Pandya’s membership was taken during a meeting of Gym’s managing committee on Monday.
On the Koffee with Karan episode – the duo bragged about how about not asking the names of women at parties and how Pandya watched them move on the dance floor. The duo also talked about losing their virginity and how they bragged about them to their parents.
Later, Pandya took to social media and apologised for the incident.
