After the Pakistan Cricket Board made clear that they wanted Misbah-ul-Haq to retire after the series in West Indies, Misbah-ul-Haq has hit back at the board in the best possible manner as he smashed six sixes of six deliveries in the Hong Kong T20 blitz.
Watch the videos of his six sixes below:
Misbah is playing for Hong Kong Island United in the Hong Kong T20 blitz. His first hit was Imran Arif for sixes of two consecutive deliveries in the 19th over. Next up, in his line of carnage was Hung Hom Jaguars pacer Ashley Caddy, who had no answers to the brutal hitting of the Pakistani Test skipper. He was hit for four sixes off four consecutive deliveries.
This innings will serve a perfect reminder of Misbah-ul-Haq’s abilities as a player, with much pressure on him internally from Pakistan to retire. Much of this pressure has been from none other than the Pakistan Cricket Board, who are ready to move on to the future generations, beyond Misbah. With such a blistering knock, Misbah has shown that he still has the ability to play for a couple of more years at the international level and that he will not go down without a fight.
After this inning, it will now be interesting to see what stance does the Pakistan Cricket Board takes, in terms of deciding the future of the Pakistani captain.
