MS Dhoni is undoubtedly the legend of Indian cricket and one of the most successful captains of all time. The former India skipper has a huge fan following worldwide and the fans leave no stone unturned to get a glimpse of their star cricketer in person.
Apart from being fan favourite, Dhoni has given fans their fan moment and one such incident happened during the 3rd T20I match in Hamilton on Sunday. During the New Zealand innings, an Indian fan ran onto the field in order to meet his idol. As he bowed down to touch Dhoni’s feet, MSD snatched away the Indian flag that the fan was carrying in his hand.

He not only gave the fan the moment of his life but also ensured that the Indian flag did not touch the ground, while the invader was still in awe of his idol. The highlight of the incident was aired during the second innings while India was chasing NZ score.
On Sunday Dhoni also made history by becoming the 13th player to play 300 T20 matches. The other players to achieve the feat are Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Brendon McCullum, Chris Gayle, Shoaib Malik, Ryan ten Doeschate, Dwayne Smith, Albie Morkel, Ravi Bopara, Sunil Narine, Sohail Tanvir, and Luke Wright. Dhoni has now scored 6136 runs from 300 matches with 24 fifties to his name.
While Dhoni effected a lightning fast stumping and a catch behind the stumps during New Zealand innings, he had a poor outing with the bat as he scored only 2 off 5 deliveries as India went down by 4 runs. New Zealand won the three-match series 2-1.
