After Team India’s victory in the third test against Australia at MCG by 175 runs on Sunday, Rohit Sharma received yet another good news as his wife Ritika Sajdeh gave birth to a baby girl adding a new member to the Sharma family. India’s limited-overs vice-captain was not there beside his wife when it happened.
The news was broken by Ritika’s cousin sister Seema Khan, who is the wife of actor-producer Sohail Khan. She confirmed the news on her Instagram account with the caption “Baby girl, masi’s again,” and tagged Ritika in the Insta story.
The news about Ritika’s pregnancy was revealed by Rohit recently in an interview with former Australian skipper Michael Clarke. “I cannot wait to be a father; it is going to be a game-changing moment in our lives. I am eagerly awaiting the moment of becoming a father. It will be a moment to change our life,” Rohit had told Clarke.
The 31-year-old is heading back home to be with his wife and the newly born girl. Rohit scored a patient 63 not out in the first innings as India made history by registering their first Boxing Day Test victory in Australia. Fans would be hoping that the baby girl will change the fortune of the ‘Hitman’ who has failed to nail down a regular spot in the longer format of the game.
