Kedar Jadhav broke through in the Indian team due to his ability to finish the game with some lusty blows. His uncanny knack of timing the balls in pressure situations has won him many laurels. Due to this, he has solidified his place in the Indian team lower down the order and would be expected to play the role of a finisher in India’s campaign in the 2019 World Cup in England.
An ability of his which was relatively unknown was his knack of being a partnership with the ball. MS Dhoni when he was the captain of the side, unleashed Kedar Jadhav in the ODI series against New Zealand and he has been a handy bowler for India ever since then. His low arm action has left many batsmen befuddled and they are yet to figure out his bowling action.
Now, Indian opener Rohit Sharma has taken praise for Kedar Jadhav the bowler to the next level altogether, comparing him to one of the greatest bowlers in the limited-overs format of the game, the yorker King himself, Lasith Malinga.
Here’s what Rohit Sharma had to say on his Instagram account:
From his post, it was obvious that Rohit Shama was more in troll-mode than paying any sort of compliment to Kedar Jadhav. Yet, one simply cannot ignore the uncanny similarities between the bowling actions of Kedar Jadhav and Lasith Malinga despite Kedar Jadhav being a spinner.
