Star Indian batsman Rohit Sharma is all set to take yo-yo test on Tuesday. Yo-yo test has become compulsory for all players in order for their selection in the national team.
A number of players that includes Mohammed Shami, Ambati Rayudu, and Sanju Samson have already failed the test and have been axed from the team.
Samson and Rayudu who had an excellent Indian Premier League season failed in the tests and resulted in their axe from India A and India team respectively.
Rohit is currently sweating it out at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore. The right-hander was on holiday off late and requested the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) for this test to be conducted on Tuesday.
Ajinkya Rahane, who led the team against Afghanistan in Bangalore in the historic Test, has been put on standby.
Skipper Virat Kohli and head coach Ravi Shastri have set their parameter on 16.1 in the test and the same is also the eligibility criteria for others.
