Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar put on chef’s hat on Women’s day to cook ‘baigan ka bharta’ for his mother, wife Anjali and daughter Sara . In a video posted on Facebook, the little master could be seen cooking the dish in the kitchen.

Tendulkar, who sent shivers down the body of the best bowlers during his playing days, showed his cooking skills by stirring up what looked like tasty baingan bharta. Back in the 1990s., Tendulkar had made the same dish for the entire Indian team at Ajay Jadeja’s home.

After cooking the dish, he wanted his mother to taste it first. “This bharta is for my mother, Anjali and Sara. I want my mother to taste this first because she spent hours and hours cooking this for me when I was a kid,” Tendulkar said in the video.
“Turned out well,” Tendulkar’s mom said after tasting her.
Tendulkar then goes to his mother’s room where she was praying. She had a spoon of the bharta and gave a great review. Sachin could be heard asking: “Is it spicy?”
Considered to be the greatest batsman ever, Sachin Tendulkar, made his debut against Pakistan in 1989 and went on to break and set several batting records in a glittering career. He is the first man to score a double hundred in ODIs and leads the century charts in the format. He is also the only man to score 100 international hundreds and play 200 Tests.
