Couple of weeks back, a promising young left-arm bowler from Pakistan, who is only six-and-a-half-year-old, stunned the cricketing world with his brilliant swing bowling. His bowling video went viral on social media to such extent that even legendary Wasim Akram could not resist himself praising the wonder kid.
After watching his bowling video, Akram tweeted from his official Twitter saying, “Where is this boy??? We have serious talent flowing through the veins of our nation and no platform for these kids to be discovered. It’s time we do something about it.”

Akram did not stop just with the Tweet but made a sincere effort find the boy and train him personally. Akram’s effort has won him millions of hearts not only in Pakistan but across the globe. In a picture posted by Akram on social media, where he can be seen training the boy whose name is Hassan Akhtar, he wrote, “Really enjoyed myself spending quality time with Hasan, young sensation from Chichawatni. Unbelievable skills at his age remember that he is only six and a half. #brightfuture.”
Awestruck by his talent and knowledge, the cricketer posted another photo of the little genius and wrote, “Explaining the importance of front arm. He was all ears he already knows how to grip the ball for outswing and inswing. Unreal.”

Hassan, who is from the Chichawatni district of Punjab, practices bowling 3-4 hours daily in his backyard. In an interview with Geo News, Hassan had said that Akram is his favourite cricketer and it will be his good fortune if he gets trained by him.
