The Indian Premier League (IPL) auction is just around the corner and we at Sportswallah, have come up with a formula which determines how much a particular player deserves to be sold for. The amount that we have come up with is based on their recent T20 performances, performances in the IPL, keeping in mind impactful performances in the recent past, among others. Let us now take a look at the prices some of the top names deserve to be sold at.
Australia all-rounder Marcus Stoinis played for Kings XI Punjab in the previous edition and had a decent outing. He scored 146 at 36.50 and also chipped in with 8 wickets at 24.25. His base price is Rs 2 crore, but we expect that he will be sold for somewhere between 4 to 4.8 crore.

Kieron Pollard all 10 seasons for Mumbai Indians and have been pivotal in helping them winning 3 titles. The West Indies all-rounder has a base price of Rs 2 crore and according to our prediction, he might be sold for a price between Rs 4 to 8 crore.

Chris Woakes represented Kolkata Knight Riders last season and given his current form, he is expected to get a huge sum. His base price is Rs. 2 crore and based on our calculations, the England all-rounder might fetch Rs 6.3 to 7.5 crore.

One of the most destructive batsmen with an ability to chip in with a couple of quiet overs, Glenn Maxwell will be a threat at any stage in the game. He led Kings XI Punjab in a few games in 2017 and has a base price of Rs 2 crore for this edition. We feel an all-round player like Maxwell would fetch in the range of Rs 7.6 crore to 9.1 crore.

Shane Watson represented Royal Challengers Bangalore in the last 2 seasons and is once again back on the auction table. He has a base price of Rs. 1 crore, but we feel that he could be sold for Rs. 2.4 to 2.9 crore, which some franchises might say is a bargain price for such an experienced all-rounder.

Dwayne Bravo has the most wicket in T20s and has represented Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Lions in the IPL. He has set himself a base price of Rs 2 Crore, but we believe that a player of his stature could go for a hefty sum between Rs 9.3 crore to 11 crore.

Mohammad Nabi was one of the two Afghanistan players to be sold in the IPL auction last year. His base price of Rs 50 Lakh will easily be a bargain for any franchise, but we predict that he will be sold for somewhere between Rs 3.5 crore to 4.2 crore.

A veteran of the game, Ravi Bopara will be a huge boost for any team. With close to 200 wickets and more than 5,500 runs in T20s, Bopara brings in a wealth of experience into the team. His base price has been set for Rs 1.5 crore, but given his experience, he will fetch somewhere between 4.4 crore to 5.6 crore.

Colin Munro became the first ever player to scored three T20I centuries. He will be up for grabs for as low as Rs 50 Lakh, but the New Zealand power-hitter will be available for somewhere between Rs 4.2 crore to 5 crore. Munro can also chip in with a few useful overs with his medium pacers, which makes him an invaluable asset to any team.

At 22, Jofra Archer has performed incredibly well in his very first BBL, scalping 15 wickets and 17.33 for Hobart Hurricanes. He has got the pace and skills to shine in the IPL as well. Although he is an unknown quantity, the franchises might take a gamble on him and get his in their team.

Thisara Perera is a dangerous bowler and with some lusty blows down the order, he can take the match away from you in a jiffy. The former Sri Lanka captain has set himself a base price of Rs 50 Lakh, but we feel that he will be sold for around 2 crore.

He has gone past the 500-run mark in just 9 matches, with a scintillating innings of unbeaten 122. As a result he has been picked for the T20I tri-series against Australia and New Zealand. He is available for a base price of Rs. 50 Lakh, but might fetch Rs. 1 to 1.2 crore.
