A total of 187 players were bought by the franchises during the auction of 11th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). Out of them, 61 were overseas cricketers, including 8 from England and 6 from New Zealand. From the lot of 187 players, 12 of them are ruled out from the tournament either due to injuries or some other reasons. Out of 12, replacement have been announced for 10 ruled out cricketers. From those 10 replacement, 4 each have come from England and New Zealand, while 1 each from India and South Africa. With this, it seems clear that England and New Zealand preferred choice for replacements in IPL.
