Afghanistan sensation Rashid Khan joins the top spot in ICC ODI bowling rankings along with Jasprit Bumrah. At the age of 19 years 152 days, Rashid becomes the youngest to reach this point. He has currently 787 points to his name, which makes him stand alongside Bumrah at the top with the same number of rating points. Previously, Saqlain Mushtaq held the record for the youngest bowler to attain top spot in ODI bowling rankings at the age of 21 years 13 days. Rashid jumped 8 places to reach this level after taking 16 wickets against Zimbabwe in 5-match ODI series, while Bumrah jumped two places. Rashid is expected to go past Bumrah in the coming ICC World Cup qualifier as India are not going to play any ODI series soon. Moreover, Rashid’s 51 runs in two innings in the series against Zimbabwe, including a brisk 43 in the final match in Sharjah on Monday, has also helped him break into the top-five in the list of all-rounders while he has also moved up 11 slots to take 114th place among batsmen.
