It was the final match of Sharjah Cup 1986, in which Javed Miandad emerged as the hero of Pakistan by hitting six off the last ball against Chetan Sharma’s bowling to win the tournament. Playing at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, this was the first victory for Pakistan in a major tournament. The tournament was also called as Austral-Asia Cup as the teams were India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand. Captained by Imran Khan, Pakistan chased the target of 246 with only one-wicket spare. Chetan Sharma, who bowled the final ball of the match, had to face tough time from fans after the match. Besides that iconic six, Miandad totally scored 116 not out off 114 balls, including 3 fours and six each.
