Heinrich Klaasen made his South Africa debut after regular wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock got injured. In his very second ODI, Klaasen became the latest hero of South Africa’s Pink ODI. With his all-round smashing during the 4th ODI at Johannesburg, South Africa registered their first win in the series. Klaasen played a match-winning knock of 43 not out off just 27 balls and was rightly rewarded with Man of the Match award. But barely anyone knows that Klaasen began his career as a seamer but later turned out to be a wicketkeeper-batsman.
