On Saturday, during the 13th match of the ICC World Cup Qualifier, West Indies Rovman Powell smashed a brilliant ton against Ireland. Batting at No. 7, Powell scored 101 off 100, which made him the first from West Indies to do so at this position. He reached his century with a powerful six straight down the ground and the ball travelled towards the press box of Harare. As the ball travelled, it also broke the glass of the window, which later Powell signed on to make it more memorable. His brilliant ton helped West Indies post 257-8 and win the contest by 52 runs. This was West Indies’ 3rd consecutive victory in the tournament with one more match to go in the group stage. They have already qualified for super six stage of the tournament.
