Earning fortunes in the Chinese Super League, witnessing a player owning a private jet is certainly a no-brainer and a certain Hulk comes under the same category. Plying his trade with Shanghai SIPG along with his national teammate Oscar, Hulk guided his side to their first ever Chinese Super League title back in November last year; the duo’s first silverware since their move to the far east.
The Chinese Super League caused a major stir in the footballing circle by acquiring some of the biggest names of the industry, and Hulk was one from the lot. Currently sitting second – behind Oscar who pockets £400,000-a-week – in the list of top earners of the league with £320,000-a-week, Hulk moved to China two years back for a reported £45 million; an Asian football record. In his two and a half years with the club, the Brazilian has played 59 games, scoring 34 goals.
To say these sportsmen need to travel a lot would be an utter understatement in the context. And to make this schedule an easy one, Hulk owns a glossy-finished private jet. Taking to Instagram, the 32-year-old showed off his asset to his fans where he was seen with his friends.
And yes, there are a lot of customisations. For the starters, he has his signature embedded just beside the door. And that’s not enough. In a story posted by the footballer, his portraits in an around the wall can be seen.
Well, footballers owning a private jet isn’t a massive revelation, to say the least. The likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar own high profile jets. The Argentine has an Embraer Legacy 650 which is reportedly worth $25.9 million, while the Portuguese has a Gulfstream G650 which cost him a hefty $65 million. Neymar, on the other hand, has an Embraer Legacy 450 which is worth $15.25 million.
Other members in the fray are Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale, DC United’s Wayne Rooney, LA Galaxy’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Manchester United’s Alexis Sanchez.
