In the world of football, properties are snatched up by multiple stars over a period of time. As players move from club to club, their multi-million pound crash pads are often occupied by replacements. In recent news, it was reported that Liverpool centre-back will be renting out Manchester United interim boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s house.
Here’s a list of famous football stars and managers who moved into houses once owned by fellow companions of the game.
The Brazilian connection
Brazil international Neymar moved into this Persian property after his record £198 million move to French giants Paris Saint-Germain. This lavish residence which costs upto £12,800 a month in rent was once owned by his former teammate and one of the greatest players in football history, Ronaldinho.
The five-storey mansion is spread across 10,800 square meters and includes a huge indoor swimming pool, sauna and Turkish bath.
Former Tottenham Hotspur star, Gareth Bale had his eyes set on one of Spain’s championship courses, but decided to move into this mega mansion worth £6.5 Million. This two-storey slice of heaven was once home to another sporting legend from mighty Brazil, Ricardo Kaka.
Designed by architect Joaquim Torres, the £10,000 a month home comes with a six-car garage, indoor pool and gym, along with multiple terraces.
You’ll Never Walk Alone in this house
Jurgen Klopp, currently in competition with title contenders Manchester City, rented out this king pad from former Liverpool manager Brendon Rodgers. After replacing the latter in the dug out, the German moved into this home which was also once owned by Steven Gerrard, another great from the decorated club. What’s more interesting is that Klopp’s immediate neighbour happens to be Adam Lallana, another talented red.
This Merseyside mansion comes with three living rooms, a home cinema, indoor swimming pool and a landscaped garden.
I Dembele it!
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp rented his Dortmond house to Ousmane Dembele when he moved to Anfield four years ago. It is reported that the French forward left the coach furious when his house was found ‘in chaos’.
Bin bags out on the front lawn, furniture left disorderly and clothes lying around the house made Klopp really upset.
One person’s loss, another’s gain
Brendon Rodgers, former Liverpool boss separated from his wife Susan in 2014. This led him to move into a £1.2 Million flat in the city centre leaving his former house available for rent. One man who took advantage from this situation was Mamadou Sakho, who moved into the £1.6 Million mansion in Merseyside with his family.
The Crystal Palace centre-back went onto his Instagram to show his newly found liking towards this house.
