Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has decided to move on with his life after the death of his wife Rebecca from breast cancer, having decided to sell his mansion in Cheshire near Manchester. The mansion holds incredible emotional value for Ferdinand as it is the place where he lived with his wife and where his three kids grew up in.
But since his wife succumbed to breast cancer in what was a dark phase of Ferdinand’s life, Ferdinand has now moved his base to London. He has found new love in his life in the form of Kate Wright, with whom he got engaged recently.
Ferdinand will sell off the mansion for around £2million. He had initially decided to place the mansion for sale for around £4.5million but decided to curtail down on the price for around £3 million. Now desperate to move on with his life, Ferdinand has decided to further drop the price of the property.
Here is what potential buyers can find in the mansion:
The property is located in Alderley Edge in an affluent area in the suburb of Cheshire near Manchester. The mansion has seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, six acres of lawn and two garages.
The kitchen inside the mansion has also been designed with a rustic theme, with a restrained countryside aesthetic. There is also a oak bar inside the property as well as a gaming room.
As one comes to expect from the property of a footballer, there is a swimming pool inside the property which is surrounded by marble tiles which lead to the lawn. The pool is also equipped with a jacuzzi. The house also has not only one but two gyms installed inside it.
With Ferdinand willing to sell off the property at a bargain price, it would undoubtedly be a steal for anyone willing to snap it up!
