Footballers are known for their lavish lifestyle and their fans are always curious to know more about their personal life as they keenly follow their social media handles to keep update on their lives. Talking about the lavish lifestyle, footballers are known to buy big houses and today we look at Former England and Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney’s £20 million Cheshire mansion is now close to completion.
The 33-year-old striker currently plies his trade with Major League Soccer side DC United in the United States. The picture which has emerged in The Sun shows windows been fitted in the mansion’s main building with the landscaping yet to be completed.
In an early report, news emerged that Rooney wanted to build a 9ft boundary wall and gates to keep out people entering his site as public footpath is very near to his mansion.
However, planners told him that the proposed barrier was too high but the striker submitted revised plans for a lower wall at his new build in Cheshire which was approved by the authorities.
These measures were taken after an attempted burglary at their former home in 2016. Coleen Rooney has recently returned to Washington DC after going on her fourth holiday to Barbados this year.
