The current footballing crop is no stranger to some extravagant fashion, to say the least, and Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli falls under the same category. Having launched his boohooMAN clothing range back in May this year, the 22-year-old midfielder has now joined the foray of caps. Taking to Instagram, the midfielder has already revealed the launch of his new headgear range Leo Fortis – which means Brave Lion in Latin.
While his clothing range had more of an urban and streetwear style, his cap collection, as he mentioned, will have a unique style. Talking to GQ, the midfielder explained, “It was quite a big thing for me. A few years ago I loved wearing hats and it was quite difficult for me to find the hat that I liked because it’s all about the shape for me.
“It has been difficult but I have been fortunate to have a lot of people around me.
” I think it was difficult to have a unique design, and just the whole process of and time it takes.
“A lot of it was trial and error when making the cap, but the main thing for me was obviously the colours and stuff you can change and vary but the fit is the most important thing when you have a hat.”
Footballers getting into fashion line is no surprise really. The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Christian Fuchs amongst others have already made their presence felt in the industry. But for Dele, former England captain David Beckham still remains the icon above all.
“Everyone’s style should be unique to themselves,” said the midfielder.
“But obviously David Beckham is big in style and a massive influence in England.”
