It’s been 25 years since the Arsenal team sported the iconic 3-stripes of adidas. The German manufacturers began making the stripes on the Arsenal Shirts in 1986 and remained for eight years, with each home kit having navy trim and each away being a mix of a rich yellow, navy and red.

1987: League Cup Winners:
• Played on 5th April 1987 between Arsenal and Liverpool at Wembley Stadium
• Arsenal won 2-1
• Arsenal were wearing their adidas Home Jersey

• Arsenal were the pre-season favourites to regain their title and they were decked out in a new home kit, with the white sleeves being eroded to a greater extent by three blocks, two red and one navy, the same style as had been worn by Germany at the European Championship.

To commence the partnership, adidas launched the Arsenal Home Jersey, which is inspired by the iconic Arsenal jerseys from the past and celebrates the club’s authenticity with an elegant and fresh look. Revealing a fresh new home strip design, that nods to the iconic adidas shirts of the past with a distinctively modern twist, the debut collection sets the tone for an innovative new partnership. The 2019/20 home kit kicks off the brand-new partnership between adidas and Arsenal, which aims to push the club forward both on and off the pitch.
The partnership was commenced by Ranveer Singh launching the Arsenal home Jersey 2019/20. Singh also an adidas brand ambassador, has been to Arsenal a number of times, but this time, the visit was special, as he got a chance to reveal the new team jersey to his Indian fans.

Arsenal’s glorious history with the 3-stripes
The all-new kit design for the 2019/20 season features a classic all-over red body, complemented by popping white sleeves and contrasting collar. The white high collar design is emblazoned with a central red stripe and black trimming. This design is repeated on both sleeves and the distinctive 3-stripes run across the shoulder in bright white.
