Chelsea and Real Madrid are all set to agree to a stunning swap deal if reports in the English media are to be believed. The two giants are set to agree to a swap deal which will involve Eden Hazard and Marco Asensio moving in the opposite directions. Real Madrid have always been big admirers of Eden Hazard and Marco Asensio is one of the most highly rated young attacking midfielders in the world.
The Daily Express are now reporting that Chelsea have reluctantly agreed to let Eden Hazard join his dream club Real Madrid and will be getting the highly sought after Marco Asensio in return. Zinedine Zidane has never hidden the fact that he believes Eden Hazard is one of the best players in the world and the mutual admiration has been reciprocated by Hazard who has claimed that the Real Madrid manager was his idol when he was growing up.
Marco Asensio has also grown frustrated with his lack of playing time at Real Madrid after playing back up to the host of other attackers in the squad. Asensio being one of the best young players in the world believes that at this stage in his career, he needs to be a regular starter, a status which he is unlikely to enjoy anytime soon at Madrid.
Madrid already have the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Isco and Lucas Vazquez in the attack. If Hazard indeed does arrive, it will push Asensio further down the pecking order. Thus, the young Spanish attacker is seeking a move away from the club in order to establish himself as a regular for the Spanish national team.
Real Madrid sees this as a perfect opportunity to land Hazard to the club and are willing to sacrifice Asensio to get their man. It remains to be seen if this turns out to be a popular move with any of either club's fan base.
