Chelsea have mercilessly trolled their rivals Manchester United, ahead of their high-profile clash in the quarter-final of the FA Cup.
Chelsea are currently flying high on the top of the Premier League table and there’s a pretty decent chance that their Italian manager, Antonio Conte, will walk away with the double in his maiden season in English football.
Due to all these factors, Chelsea head into the encounter at Stamford Bridge against Manchester United, headed by their previous manager Jose Mourinho, as slight favourites.
With their club in the ascendancy, Chelsea simply couldn’t resist to take a dig at United’s current position in the league position, which is 6th.
Their match preview read, “Monday’s cup opponents are enjoying a long unbeaten run in the league stretching back to October. It has lifted them all the way from sixth to sixth. That last defeat was, of course, the one they endured at the Bridge. Pedro’s 29.6 seconds opener in that 4-0 triumph remains the fastest goal in the league this season.”
People might think that it was a genuine effort to write a match preview, but if one reads between the lines, they will understand that it was nothing but a blatant attempt to troll Manchester United.
Will this troll come back to haunt them in the future?
