Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has recently received heavy footage and unfortunately for the player, it is because of his off the field antics. Thanks to his brand association, the 25-year-old took part in Puma’s advertising campaign and for that, went into the studio along with the hip-hop artist, ‘TheColourGrey’.
Signed up with Jay-Z’s sports agency, the footage of striker having a go in the music industry spread over the globe. And it was made evident that the striker – like his first touch – needs a great polishing in his rapping skills. His attempt was deficient of any kind of rhythm, to say the least.
Well, let’s say he was doing good, but the video halted abruptly as the striker discontinued and mumbled within the lyrics.

And he wasn’t going away with that. His Manchester United teammate Jesse Lingard, who scored in England’s 2-1 win over Croatia, took to Instagram and started teasing the striker by not just ragging his rapping skills, but also imitated the striker’s appearance by lodging slippers around his ears. The winger wrote, “Fire in the closet #RomChallenge”.

Talking about the song, the big Rom – who has only managed four Premier League goals thus far, decided to collaborate with his childhood friend TheColourGrey and the duo have released a track called ‘New Levels’ which describes their tough upbringing. Take a look at the entire video:
