Atletico Madrid To Offer Ibrahimović A Contract
Spanish club Atletico Madrid are considering offering a contract to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, to add their options in attack once their transfer ban is lifted.
The Rojiblancos were close on signing Alexandre Lacazette from Olympique Lyon, but with their transfer ban upheld, the move fell through. Now the Frenchman reportedly heading to Arsenal, Atletico are left searching for strikers and have zeroed in on the giant Swede, who is currently a free agent, after he was released by Manchester United earlier this month.
Ibrahimovic, 35, had an excellent first and only season for United as he managed to score 28 goals from 46 appearances, until a knee injury cut his season short in April. The former PSG striker is currently recuperating from his injury at United's Carrington facility. His huge wage demands could prove to be a stumbling block for Atletico. (AS)
Julian Brandt's father, who is also his agent, has denied the claims that the 20-year-old German international has agreed the personal terms with Bayern Munich.
A couple of days back, German news outlet Bild reported that the youngster will be joining Bayern Munich this summer for a reported fee of £25 million and this created a huge buzz in the footballing market. However, Brandt senior has denied any such claims by saying that there is no such agreement in place.
