Puma has been landing deal after deal since the beginning of the year, players, teams, jerseys, young talent, kits, you name it and Puma is looking to venture in it. Their newest addition is Leicester City and England midfielder, James Maddison. The German athletic brand had a contract ready for the Brit and they made sure their newest addition arrived in style.
Once the contract was ready and just needed James’ initials, Puma arranged for a private jet for the in-form midfielder to fly down to their headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany. There is no doubt about the talent that James Maddison is, he broke on the scene since his arrival from Norwich, with a few stunning free kicks and pinpoint assists. This has also resulted in the young midfielders addition in the England international team.
However, the big names that are interested in him are not just limited to the England national team, Puma has been chasing him for a few months and has landed a deal with Maddison on top of his form.
Once he was in Germany, James got a tour of the iconic Puma HQ and met the designers of his new boots. He was then taken to the PUMA labs, where the officials took note of his foot size for made-to-measure boots. The midfielder will now be spotted wearing the PUMA ONE 19.1 that have been exclusively customised for him.
James Maddison has now joined a list of top players, namely, Sergio Aguero, Marco Reus, and David Silva, that have been to the Puma Labs to get their shoes designed.
