Following an exhilarating win over Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth on Saturday, Manchester United players were given a well-earned day off and while some visited friends, a certain Alexis Sanchez decided to spend his day in London, at the British Museum. Taking to Instagram, the former Arsenal forward gave his fans a tour through his Instagram stories.
It all started with a panoramic view of the venue followed by a video of the Great court’s roof. Alexis also posted a picture of Hoa Hakananai’a – statue which was taken by the British crew from ‘Orongo, Rapa Nui (Chile’s Easter Island) in 1868 – with a Chile flag in it, showcasing its origin. Also in the frame was the statue of Colossal Statue Of Amenhotep III.
Another focus point in his stories was the Reconstruction of the Nereid Monument – which is a sculptured tomb from Xanthos in Lycia, Turkey – before the Chilean wrapped up his tour/stories with a selfie.
Sanchez, after being dropped for the Everton game, has had a relatively successful weekend, as it was he who assisted Anthony Martial to bag his fifth goal in four Premier League matches. After some disappointing results, Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United are making their way up the table and as things stand right now, they sit level on points with Bournemouth at the seventh spot.
Meanwhile, as far as Alexis is concerned, he is yet to make his mark in United colours as he only has one goal this season in his kitty, which was the winner against Newcastle United.
