Red Bull F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo had a season to forget. He suffered eight race retirements this season ending his hopes of snatching the title from the defending champion Lewis Hamilton. His failure to finish the eight races in a single campaign is a record that no other Red Bull driver has achieved in the team’s history.
This year’s final race in Abu Dhabi will be the last time that he will be driving the Red Bull car as he is all set to join Renault in the upcoming season. The 29-year-old Australian driver has been with the Austrian racing team since 2014 after he was given the big break following Mark Webber’s retirement from the sport.
Even before the finale, Ricciardo unveiled his limited edition Collaboration Cap called “The Monaco” with Melin.
Melin took to social media Facebook to make the official announcement of the collaboration. They wrote ” Announcing the Endurance! Formula 1 star Daniel Ricciardo challenged us to create a performance-driven hat that could be worn outdoors, in the water, and during training. Flash forward through several months of meticulous engineering and rigorous testing, and we’re proud to present the Endurance! Designed to be lightweight, sweat resistant, and water friendly, the Endurance is the most versatile T.E.C.H. style we’ve ever created!
The cap is constructed from some of the most premium materials available in the world, including imported melton wool, genuine nappa leather and brushed suede. Each limited edition cap comes in Melin’s signature hard display box with an official certificate of authenticity.
