With the new Formula 1 season not kicking off until mid-March, the faithful are witnessing spectacular new sides of their favourite drivers. While some are dedicating their time off in intense training, some are enjoying their vacay with their family and friends and some have decided to unlock the wanderlust in them.
In the fray is none other than Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas, who recently made his trip all the way from Finland to South America. Upon his return, he has kept himself occupied with rallying, but in the midst, he has been sharing the spotlight with his lovely little dalmatian, Fanni, on Instagram. Well, who doesn’t love dogs on Instagram?
Completely contrary to his Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton, who has been surfing his way through the west coast of America of late, Bottas loves living a non-celebrity lifestyle with his wife Emilia and of course, Fanni. The distinction between these two drivers can be perfectly underlined with the fact that Hamilton’s dog Roscoe is a highly paid model in Los Angeles and earns a whopping £530 per day.
The simplicity in Bottas’ style of living, on the other hand, can well and truly be understood by a simple statement he quoted to The Sun last year. It read:
“I do my laundry and now we have a dog as well, called Fanni, so that will take up some time, plus we go out to restaurants,” The Fin said when asked how his off-season period is utilized.
Scrolling through the Fin’s Instagram timeline, you will get to know how much does Fanni mean to him. Be it a role of travel buddy or even running buddy, Fanni plays the role to perfection and the pictures are simply out of this world.
Meanwhile, as far as Lewis Hamilton is concerned, he was one of the high-profile attendees at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium during the Super Bowl. Apart from that, he has kept himself lived-in with surfing, golf and even occupying a skydiving license. Talk about travel goals now…
