No one on the PGA Tour has been better on Saturdays this season than Tiger Woods. The legendary golfer will be looking to add more glory to his already illustrious career in the ongoing US PGA Championship.
But if you are a golf and Woods fan – one thing must not have got unnoticed. It’s a fact he always wears a red shirt on the final day of a tournament – whether it be a Major or an ordinary PGA Tour event.
But what’s the reason behind that weird superstition?
Although the red is a sign of danger and it might be one of his strategies to intimate his oppositions but it has a simpler meaning to it.
Woods has previously said of always wearing red: “I’ve worn red ever since my college days basically, or junior golf days – big events on the last day.
“I just stuck with it out of superstition and it worked.
“I just happened to choose a school that actually was red, and we wore red on our final day of events. So it worked out.
“I cam out here and I continued it. I’ve had a few wins wearing red, and it’s not going to change.”
