Female Golfer, Minjee Lee is currently ranked second in LGPA. The Australian professional golfer has been playing golf for most of her life and there is no doubt that she is damn good at the sport. You may be aware of her incredible talent on the golf round, but how much do you know about her introduction to the sport?
Introduction to Golf

The world would not have been able to discover Minjee’s talent if it wasn’t for her mother. The 23-year-old was introduced to golf very early on. By age 10, Minjee started spending 8 hours every day in practice. Her mother has always been extremely supportive. She would also help Minjee set little daily goals on sticky notes and get properly guided in her daily activity. Clara has also been present for all of Minjee’s tournaments.

Minjee Lee has definitely trained to play golf well. While attending the Methodist Ladies’ College in Perth, Australia, she entered for the 2010 Western Australia Amateur Open. Lee emerged the winner of the 2012 United States Girls’ Junior Championship, a competition for amateur U-18 female golfers. In 2013, the elegant golfer bagged the Australian Women’s Amateur, a title she retained in 2014 as well. She made history in February 2014, when she became the number one ranked amateur golfer having won the Oates Victorian Open on the ALPG Tour. She has won a total of 4 professional LPGA Tour wins with one ALPG Tour win as a pro. Minjee’s laurels as a pro include the 2015 Kingsmill Championship, Lotte Championship, and Blue Bay LPGA wins in 2016 and the LPGA Volvik Championship she won in May 2018.

When not winning titles, Minjee enjoys doing a number of other things. She enjoys travelling to new and different places and sharing those moments on social media. Minjee is super fond of Korean drama series and watches the trending ones on her days off. As for food, she loves absolutely everything cooked with love by her grandma, Angela.
