Golf is not exactly the most physically demanding sport across the globe, but we have a golfer that might think otherwise. This three-time major champion is an absolute beast when it comes to fitness, and can lift up to 150kg on the bench.
We are talking about Brooks ‘Hulk’ Koepka. His career has been going from strength to strength and so has his physique. The golfer has always had a passion for fitness and is quite easily the strongest golfer on the course.
Just watch how the beast is so nonchalantly lifting that massive weight and he’s going at it with the reps as well. The body is not an overnight result, it has come from sweating it out at the gym and following a strict 1800-calorie diet. The golfer is also following this strict gym regiment and diet plan for a naked photo shoot as well.
The weight that he can lift on the bench is approximately similar to the one of a grown male panda. He also does easy 14 reps with 100kg on the bench.
The two-time US Open champion has taken inspiration from former golfer and Golf Channel pundit Brandel Chamblee. He told Brooks to put his body before golf. Brandel believed that the decision to lean the body and make it more ‘golf-friendly’ was the most reckless sabotage of a fit physique.
Speaking on Brooks’ diet, Brandel said:
“The diet I was on was probably not the best. I was 1,800 calories a day. You’re not going to be in the best physical shape at that point. But I wanted to do it and try to lose some weight. Maybe I went about it a little too aggressively for just a long period of time and the intensity of what I was doing.”
It does not end here for the golfer, he also has the hottest girlfriend in the golfing world. Being the strongest golfer does pay its dividends.
