Rice wrote on her Twitter, “I’ve officially been in India for a week now and am starting to really understand Kabaddi. For those of you who don’t know, I’m here in India working with

She also posted the news on her Instagram explaining how it was one of the biggest challenges of her career:

I’ve officially been in India for a week now 🇮🇳 and I’m starting to get a good understand of Kabaddi. Kabaddi is kind of like a game of professional tag/red rover red rover I call over, played on a matt that looks like a basketball court…that’s the best way I can describe it. And my gosh, those boys are so agile, strong and fast…it’s incredible to watch because it’s so fast and there’s so much action. For those of you who don’t know, I’m here in India working with @starsportsindia for 3 months, presenting their Professional Kabaddi League #pkl Before I got here, I knew NOTHING about Kabaddi, so this week has been all about learning the in’s and out’s of the sport, the players (more importantly, how to pronounce them 🤷🏽♀️) and also trying my hand at presenting (which I’ve never done before) **glad I did those 4 Hindi lessons a few years back. So it’s safe to say this week has taken me WAYY outside my comfort zone and there’s been many times when I’ve noticed myself get a bit defeated because I’m not awesome at it…but I am quick to remind myself that it’s all new and as long as I am learning & improving everyday, then that’s fantastic and all I can ask. I’m sure you guys can relate to this feeling when you do something new. But I also LOVE trying new things and challenging myself to grow…because you never know what will come from it. So here’s to all the warriors out there that continually test themselves 👊🏽 you rock!!!
The league with the acquisition of Rice have pulled off a major coup and now have a bonafide Olympian legend and one of the best swimmers of the current generation in their ranks.
Here we learn a few more things about Stephanie Rice and explore why it will be a delight for the Indian audiences to watch Rice on their screens.
